Chrome Bonnet Louvers on BRG
If you want to see what they look like on a dark color here's a good example. They really pop in person - the pictures don't do justice so I posted a few. My PPF installer just popped them in. I really think they complement the chrome side louvers and just add that touch of differentiation. The sales guys at my Jag dealership flipped over them too - Bling!
One thing to note is that they certainly don't breathe as much as the originals (not as open so not as much airflow). I can't imagine that will have an impact on the car overheating though. One nice touch on the originals is that you can look through the louver vents on the top and read the word 'Supercharged' right off the engine. That view is obstructed with the chrome inserts - FYI

I'm sure what you've stated will stop someone here from doing the swap.
They are identical to the louvres on the V8S so there is certainly no airflow issue. They are intented to let hot air out, not cool air in, so the shape of the opening is not as important as the size.

Moreover, while you are no longer able to bend over and look through the mesh to read the "supercharged" logo, on the positive side you will no longer be getting water spilling into the your engine compartment through the open honeycomb.
Just got mine. It took one minute to install the first one and 30 seconds for the second. No damage to the originals. It is safe to say that no one who has ogled my car has every looked through the vent to see the supercharged sign. The best thing I noticed was that the bonnet previously looked flat but now looks like there is something substantial under that part of the hood like a big air intake.

Bumping this older thread - I see these on Ebay for $235/side. So $470 + shipping. I do like the change from my stock black and flat honeycombs, but not sure I like it quite that much. That's the lowest I could find. Anywhere cheaper?
I've got a pair I removed. The right one was starting to bubble around the edges a little and it was bothering me, so off they came. PM me if you're interested and I can send you some pics.

after their part number issue, JLR parts place sent two right hand sides, but has since MORE than rectified problem. I used all the wisdom from this forum to replace the stock vents on the 2017.
First piece of good advice: Tie the old vents to the hood/bonnet struts to keep them from falling off/breaking/snapping off a clip. I think I will probably hang on to these, they are/were OE. I also tied the new ones to the struts, for the same reason.
Second piece. wrap flat blade screwdriver with electrical tape, so as not to scratch paint.
I used a popsicle stick to keep the OE louver from snapping back once I had flipped the clip from underneath.
I added the Kilroy link because that last photo reminded me of him. LOL
Lizzardo's link/post to the Jaguar instructions, while wordless, provided enough visuals to get the job done. I can't find that page right now, but will post it, unless someone gets there faster.

I didn't do any prying from the outside. I work the clips one at a time from underneath, but I did also use the electrical tape trick on a screwdriver.
I also used finger pressure to keep the clips that were released from clicking back into place. Patience is key.
