Yep.
I changed the oil and filter in my F-Type 3 days ago using the old fashioned "remove the sump plug" method, as I did the air filters at the same time so the under-tray had to come off anyway.
Let it drain for about two hours while I did the air filters, put a precisely measures 7.25 litres back in, checked the level straight after then twice since after going for a run, smack on the "OK, max" level every time.

Ugh...great. I thought about switching to Livermore after being disappointed by San Jose on a few occasions until I called them to order an F-Pace SVR. Worst part is that I'm in the mid-Peninsula so any dealer is at least a 2 hour round-trip on a weekday.

Same here. Kind of stuck with San Jose for now. It's 1+ hour to go there in the morning and at least 2+ hours to get back to work on a work day for me, which is really not realistic. I also don't want to take 1 day off for this...

I feel San Jose don't care at all because the car still drives fine.

When my AWD had its first service a year ago I checked the oil level before I drove off, it was ok.
Checking the paper work when I got home I saw that I was billed for 7.25 litres.
I asked the dealer, I emailed JLR and got nowhere. They said things like that’s what topix said, it includes the filter and so on.
I think I was overcharged rather than overfilled.
It’s going in for its second service on Monday. Going to read the invoice carefully this time before I drive off.

Had second service today.
Really nice young clued up mechanic..sorry technician....who worked on the car. He knew his stuff and followed the forums !
He knew all about the different oil capacities. I told him what had happened last year. So it seems I was overcharged last year. They refunded the money!
I got to look at the underside for the first time, it was like the day it came off the line, no brace corrosion.
He removed the sub tray to drain the oil.
Apart from the fact that I didn’t notice that they had charged me for washer fluid until I got home.....I filled it to the brim before I set off....I was very pleased with my dealer experience.

Perhaps I can ship mine back "home" when my wife visits the relatives in Kent for a correct service, as in America the quality of service definitely is not close to that?!!

Not anyone gets a dealership. Jag Land Rover wants all paired stores and in the new design. So some stores are moving to combine. Also Jag prefers that that dealers sell to an existing Jag dealer. I've never understood bad service other than not enough techs or an old facility. They make more money on service if they can fix in warranty time allowed. My service advisor has also been been a mechanic so that helps.
