Default Driver airbag error code B0020(1A)

Good day Lads,

recently while driving my F-Type I noticed that the airbag light comes up within a few minutes of starting the car. I checked the code and it seems to be B0020(1A) - Left Side Airbag Deployment Control: Circuit Resistance Below Threshold.

The airbag light comes up around 80-90 percent of the time. What is interesting, even if it does not come up, once I leave my seat when the car is idling, the airbag control will appear immidiately and won’t go off after I get back behind the wheel.

Do you know if there are any connections for the airbag system under the seat?

Today I disconnected the battery and removed the airbag.
after unplugging all the connections, I sprayed them with an electric contact cleaner and checked the condition. Two connectors seem a bit burnt. Do you think that they might be responsible for the B0020 fault? I do not know, how to diagnose the issue further with a multimeter.

After the cleaner dries out, I will re-connect the pins, the battery and check for the airbag fault again.

Seems like an unusual amount of corrosion around that blue electrical plug where there shouldn't be any. Was this vehicle a flood vehicle or in an area of high humidity?

yes, the car was driven in Texas near Houston, hence the rusty spots.
I did some more digging and realized that the B0020 error is not for the Steering Wheel, it is for the side airbag in the Seat! Omg, now I need to remove the whole seat and troubleshoot inside. Any ideas on how to tackle this?
