The ProClip was backordered. Just shipped.
Now the MagSafe chargers are backordered. Expected to ship in a couple weeks.
I did get all the parts in for the XC90. I do like wireless CarPlay but the WiFi connection on the Pioneer is a little weak. I need to keep the iPhone close to the HU.
Also, if you run any of the Nav Apps, the phone really needs to be charging.

Proclip mount, modified.
Proclip Magsafe holder.
Custom wrapped with Garrett leather.
Apple MagSafe charger.
Aukey USB C charger.
EasySkinz sticker to hide the big white Apple chager.

Best I could do until Kuda comes out with something for the F Type.

I just bought this unit from Arid Innovations in the UK. It's pricey (60 UK pounds, plus shipping, depending on exchange rate comes out to around $100 US), but puts the phone on the grab handle with a carbon-polymer 3D-printed clamp with fixing screws on the bottom that clear the bottom of the grab handle and pinch the clamp around the handle. It's lined with a thin and super soft high-density foam, like a neoprene, and has a strong neodymium magnet on a mounting block that positions the phone far enough from the grab handle to align well. It works similar to the velcro strap models, but looks much better and has a better clamp mechanism without risking scratching the leather. They have a regular clamp model without the magnet that uses the same attachment base, but we already have magnet mounts in all our other cars and the steel plates on our phones, so it made the most sense for us, and it's small enough that it looks pretty unobtrusive when the phone isn't in it. The carbon polymer even matches the black leather fairly well.

I've found a version on ebay that a guy locally makes and it works perfectly... velcro straps, but incredibly sturdy and firm. Looking down from the road spooks me, so this was the best bet vs the old clip I had mounted at the perfect height... but it blocked the raised heating/cooling vent. This has been a fantastic middleground. Literally! =)

Default F-Type R cell phone mount and wireless charger

Hey what’s up F-Type owners..

Many of us have been searching for a really good cell phone out for our F types, well after a lot of trial and error put together something that works great and looks good in my F-Type… and thought I would share with the group..

I ended up taking two mounts and put them together to give me a secure wireless charging cell phone mount. I also use the flash USB adapter for the cigarette lighter and a short 1 foot USB cable to attach the wireless charging base to the cigarette lighter.

Here is a link to a video for of mine mounted in my F-type

Mine broke, so back at it. Where are we at nearing the middle of 2022 on available F-Type mounts. I prefer mine to be in field of vision vs having to look down. That's the grab bar, maybe on the carbon fiber in front of the raised vents, and possibly the left vent... however it feels unwise to place a phone in front of a vent when it's blowing hot air?

Anyone that hadn't been part of this thread in the past, or newbies that found their own solution, or old timers that may have not updated what options they have found... I'm open to hear who is happy?
That knightspeed guy super swindled me. Always sticks in my craw, but I learn the lesson!

Very happy with mine. It's super cheap too, so if you find you don't like it, no harm done.

I'm thinking the wind on the vert wouldn't work that well, but that placement is fantastic.

Yes, mine is really only for coupes. I really like the placement, though. I doesn't obstruct anything else and keeps a phone map right in front of me.
