Hi all, this is my first time here and my first Jag. I have an SVR on order to deliver in June here in Chicago and just wanted to get on the forums to keep up with other owners for news, advice, pics and whatever else I can find during the long wait. I was seriously considering the R but I fell in love with the Ultra Blue and could order the SVR this way, I dig the styling tweaks, the HP and weight drops are a good start, and the rarity of the model all just pushed me over the top.

Driving the R was an amazing experience, though, so I hope it's at least that good. I look forward to hearing more from you all and connecting with other folks who have an order in (unless I'm actually the only one who likes it enough to buy one!).

Doesn't sound that much different than an R but the is background music that can be covering that.
I was somewhat jealous you got to posting that first. But I just found this link of Fast and Furious star Michelle Rodriguez hitting 201 miles per hour, her personal best, and a jaguar svr.

Congratulations on the order. Looking forward to seeing the pics when it arrives. The wait is a killer.

I have one on order as well, with the dealer, but he hasn't been able to put it in the system yet. Hopefully soon. Congrats

Thanks, I believe I have a build date of May 6, so hoping things move along and it arrives earlier in June, but we'll see. What did you end up with on color and options?

Cool, yeah the cf looks great on the exterior I think. I opted for the glass roof and white stitching and upgraded brakes. And illuminated sills are a no brainer!

I have a feeling it's going to seem forever, I'll just feel better to start when I can get it "officially ordered"....

Have they given you a build date? I'm not sure how the allocations are working per region so maybe they haven't locked down where it will go in production, but I expect once they have it entered as a sold order they will try to bump it up as far to the front as they can.

no build date, they can't enter it into their system. They can order all F types except SVR. Hoping to hear more in the next couple of weeks.

My SVR order was entered into the system today. Delivery date is mid-August but others entered into the system were a month or so earlier.

I was at the dealer today, here in Canada, they still can't put the order in. Rumour has it in a couple of weeks.

Had a chance to tour Jaguar factory in Castle Bromwich in January and saw F-Types being made there (received a delivery of my F-Type Coupe one week after the tour so it was very special experience).

At the factory, I saw one SVR coupe in fire sand at the final inspection stage. A technician was starting up its engine - man, that sound !!!

You will get to enjoy listening to that exhaust note whenever you drive SVR.

Hello all-
I have just secured an order for an SVR. The availablity of Ultra Blue, performance specs for price, and the sound were all the deciding factors for me. I have been in 3 different variants of the 911 over the past 6 years and now will try out the F-type. My dealer tells me the car will arrive July 22 and that there are NO discounts to be had on this model. I never believe that statement so if anyone has any discount information to share please do! I could always get 5% minimum off of a 911 order. I struggled between the new R8 or this new SVR and I must say that an at mimimum 50K price difference is significant in the decision process.

Congratulations on securing the order for your SVR! July will be here in no time (but it will still feel like an eternity). I am scheduling mine for an April 2017 delivery for my birthday.

I'm sure by now most of us have seen the "inadvertent" premature release of the 2017 F-Type Brochure which included the SVR. Unfortunately it was in German (I think) and after many hours of trying to translate it - I just gave up!

Today, my SVO Global VIP Client Relations Manager informed me that the U.S. (English) version of the 2017 F-Type Brochure (including the SVR) is now available on line. The U.S. versions of F-Types and SVO's have some unique differences when it comes to standard and optional equipment. Hope this helps!
