Default How Do I Get To My Subwoofer?

I have a 2015 MY that has just started in with the dreaded subwoofer rattle. It is coming from the speaker located behind the drivers seat. Taking the car in to the dealer is at best inconvenient. That said, can someone give me the step-by-step directions to access the speaker. I believe that there is a good chance that I can either tighten or install some stereo sound deadening material to solve my problem

Thanks in advance...

Dave

I have only pulled apart a convertible to access the rear speakers, but I imagine a coupe will be similar, except there are no rollover hoops?

Short explanation for a convertible you need to;

Remove the plastic sill trims that run along the bottom of the door jamb.
Remove the the plastic trims where the seatbelts go in.
Remove the speaker grilles in the trim panel behind the seats
Remove the rollover hoops (bolts accessed when the speaker grilles removed)
Remove the bulkhead panel, it just lifts out once the rollover hoops are removed.

I checked my files on this laptop, don't have a specific instruction for a coupe, but that's it for a convertible...

Has anyone else done this yet on the coupe and can give more details of the steps? I don't want to break anything. I just need access to the wires going to the subwoofers, meaning anywhere between the 770w amp and the speakers would be fine. 99% of the time spent on the upgrade project is figuring out how to get the car apart safely.

The remaining 150% of the time is spent (we all know these projects take far longer then expected) putting it back together and figuring out what to do with all the spare bits...

We need a sticky or section on 'How to take apart' this piece. Especially inards. Maybe Topix access like some give us here is the real answer...

I bought the topix access for a week, and the info on disassembly of this area of the car was ... nearly useless. I'm hoping to get much more detail and insight. Service manuals for other vehicles I've had were much more helpful.

I looked through my copy of the service manual for this procedure, and it looks very messy and complicated, but doable.
You have to completely remove the seats from the car, then remove almost all of the side and rear trim pieces, and THEN you can access the speaker panels behind the seats which you remove to access rear speakers/sub-woofers.
As said before it shows you what to remove and a rough picture or two of where the clips are (and lots of warnings!) but it's very light on for nitty gritty "how do I do this?" details.

hmmm i'm confused here - the speaker grilles are set in the carpet, can't you just pull the grilles off to get access

my grille is rattling under heavy base too

this is how the speaker grille attaches - i put this pic together using the rattle fix pdf

the red markers are tabs which slide in behind the carpet, the blue markers are push clips, so looks like you use a trim tool and start at the inside top edge to pop the push clips free then walk it out up and towards centre console

@domino_z thanks for the diagram. I do not believe this opens up enough space to access wires, but good to know they come off. I spent a little time trying to remove it and only achieved anger and sore fingers so far, so I can not yet say for certain if this will get me to the wiring. Disassembling things on this car is....interesting.... I still believe I may have to remove the whole panel to access anything there, but I'll continue to curse at this part and try to make progress.

I hate to grave-dig a thread, but I'm well out of warranty on my F-Type roadster and I've got this rattle. Are there any pics of this procedure along with the proper tools to use for it? I've pulled interior panels off of other cars, and I almost always manage to either break parts on the panel or break the fastners.
