did you need adapter to tap into those or did you cut in and seal/tape back? My jl audio wires are short so sssume i need wiring and confused if i need adapters or just splice in

Based on @nitro28 post on installing a powered sub in his converible, I did a similar for my '16 vert using a Memphis Car Audio 10" powered sub. Here is are a few reference photos. I ran power from the battery in trunk under the "basket" that holds the folded-down top.
