Talk about perfect timing, I'm in the process of making an E-Pace grille fit the car. Bought the E-Bay carbon fiber surround and will be in my second day of cutting and modifying the grille to fit well. Biggest issue is that the E-Pace grill has a spot for a 100mm emblem vice the standard 86mm and I just had to order one form the Netherlands as they are extremely hard to source.

And just finished up, it's not perfect, one of the holes in the side was stripped out so it's not perfectly flush, but from anything more than about three feet away you won't see it unless you know what you are looking for.
Not the final emblem, this is a very Jerry rigged one until the real one arrives from overseas ...

I recalled posting questions on this thread, but I see I never posted the results of my grill project. I decided to buy a cheap grill off eBay, just to use the surround frame. It came in fake carbon fiber, so I painted it Santorini Black to match the car.
Replaced the grill, the four side grills, and the two hood vents with stainless steel mesh.
I used rubber grommets to mount the parking sensors, which worked great, but I still haven't reset the sensors yet.
This was a lot of work, but I am very pleased with the result.
A big THANK YOU to everyone who posted in this forum. Your input made it much easier to do this modification.
Here is a link to the quick vid I made on removing the nose to do this work:

I like it. It reminds me of the old XJRs and XKRs. The reason it works is you changed ALL of the vents to the mesh, otherwise it just would have looked off. Nicely done.
Tork, looks great. Stainless / nickel look really works for me, and I hate the giant black plastic milk crate of the stock and even P7 grilles. Nickel side and hood vents might be nice too.
Anyone here try the Arden grill or something similar? Arden seems to be a very boutique German or Swiss outfit, not sure how easy to work with them from the US.

@Slappy Thanks for the tip, I sent Arden an enquiry and received the following reply.
Dear Mr XXX,
Thank you for your enquiry. Unfortunately, we have removed the radiator grille from our range and are therefore unable to offer it to you.
I have pulled the trigger and bought a VR v2 grille. I have two questions
1) I have a styrofoam cover over my front crash bar - should I keep it, or remove it? My line of thought is that if I remove it the airflow would be quite different, since it seems it blocks the whole "top" area over the OEM crossbar.
2) parking sensor's cables are installed inwards. I red that I have to keep the angle of sensors exactly like OEM to them work correctly, but I also red that someone turned them 180 degrees so the cables are pointing outward. Can I do that?
There are 2 unknown sensors attached on the original grille, looks like g-sensors for airbags? Do anybody know what they are and are they any rules how to install them back? Thank you

Those are parking sensors - some of the aftermarket grills have mounting points for them, and for others you have to fabricate something. You need to get them to the right height and make sure the grille isn't interfering, or they won't work correctly. Also I think folks get rid of the styrofoam, and paint the metal bar black (if it's not already black). I haven't done this mod myself, just what I've read about it.

Sorry but they are not There are other sensors hidden on the top of the grille..
Anyway I have found it and they are Pedestrian Impact Sensors
Lol sorry about that - are those to let us know we have run over a pedestrian? (J/k )
All joking aside, those sensors when triggered fire off the pedestrian airbags under the rear corners of the hood/bonnet, blowing the bejesus out of it and costing you squillions in repair costs.
Never read or heard of a single pedestrian being "saved" by this dopey system and there are hundreds of reports of false deployments across a whole range of Jags including XF, XJ and XK, costing the poor unfortunate owners big time.
However very few reports of it firing on an F-Type so it seems JLR in their wisdom adjusted the sensitivity for the F-Type.
