Sadly, it's time to sell my 2014 Salsa red V8S Convertible
I've held on to this vehicle for as long as I could after purchasing it in the summer of 2016 and then breaking my neck in December 2016 (i've shared my story on the forum in years past) leaving me paralyzed from the neck down.
my wife has put a total of ~5k Miles on it and it now has a grand total of 19,000 miles on the odometer, all accident free. I have not yet had a cleaned up for a photo shoot.
I plan to list it here and would like to know if you have any words of wisdom for the best way to sell my car?
Thank you!
Joe

@Kitesurfer That's a beautiful car with many memories for sure.
If you don't want to deal with tire-kicking, test-driving, low-balling potential buyers coming to your house, I would instead get some quotes from Carmax, Carvana, Echo Park, etc.
Sadly, the market value of the F-Type does not accurately reflect its beauty, rarity, and driving experience.
Thank you for the advice! I will check all of the sites to see if they are competitive. How about bring a trailer? A few of my friends have suggested it but I've never listed or bid/purchased from there.

I had a great experience from 'Bring a Trailer' seling my 2015 F-Type R. It sold for a bit more than I expected. Just be sure you double check the listing they write for you and be engadged daily in the comments. Very smooth sale.
I just sold my 2014 V8 S convertible with all the options, no accidents at 61000 miles. Carvana's and Carmax's offer was $8k below what I got via my ad in Autotrader. You'll have to deal with and ignore the scams (mainly regarding buying extra car history reports) but for 8k the hassle was well worth it. There was also a person on this site that was very interested it's just the timing didn't work out for him. Maybe he's still looking.
If you go the BAT route understand that is WAY different than any other site. It's full of car guys who know cars. So you must be 100% honest and transparent AND you must respond to the questions as they are posted. They will find any and all defects on the car. Get all the maintenance records ready to post too as that will be a question for sure.
You never can have enough pictures but BAT takes care of that but at a cost.
Yes you can/will get people nitpicking your car but that's what has to happen. Just don't take it personal.

Search my name if you want to see the ad etc.
Good luck
congratulations on selling yours! I will look yours up and give it a try if it sounds like the price range is within what I am hoping to get.

excellent advice! Thank you very much. I don't think I am prepared or ready but I'm going to do my best and try to make a great first impression with the overall presentation.
I guess I can deal with nitpicking over the Internet much better than having to deal with tire cookers in person. When I sold my 1965 Corvette a couple of years ago everyone wanted to come just to see the car. I ended up selling it to the guy I purchased it from 20 years prior.

BaT seems a viable option. Shocked at some prices that platform can bring.
