Please remember that 5.0 engines have cast pistons......just to remember when boost them up....or tune A/F + timing near the limits. I guess this piston fact
is not very widely known.

FWIW, detonation will blow a hole in a forged slug as quickly as it will a cast piston. All the more reason to verify your tuner knows exactly what he is doing.

I would not say that way. Detonation is not always a hole in piston. It can be just a piston sidewall/ringland damage, which means full engine rebuild.

Please look at the damage of my old 4.0 SC engine's stock cast piston:

I am very sure that the current 2618 forged piston with ceramic coated crown would have been still fine if been there at that time.

You are correct, a 2618 slug (ceramic coating does nothing to add strength to the piston) with thicker FI spec ringland would take more abuse than the factory parts. That said from someone who's spent the past 20+ years building pushrod and OHC engines of all types, even the highest quality custom CP 2618 piston won't take the beating that a **** poor tuner can dish out. There is no such thing as a bulletproof piston.
