Hi,

Britcar have told me part AJ813865 is not available from Jaguar and not available on back order either

I might as well cancel the order as the updated upper tube won't be compatible with my current lower tube.

Gutted, had hoped to replace all of these whilst the supercharger was off.

Not gutted!

There are plenty listed on US dealer sites. Try Jag Virginia Beach, or chekeredauto, or most likely your local dealer. Also on Ebay. https://www.ebay.com/itm/One-New-Gen...-/273343292856

Pardon my ignorance but does the whole supercharger come off for snout replacement? From the parts diagram the snout bolts onto the front of the supercharger.

From my research, yes I believe so. But you're right, it does look like a bolt off bolt on job.

Yes the snout does bolt on and off but its also held together with heavy duty sealant which can require a good amount of prying and pulling.

I believe a few of the bolts are unreachable with the supercharger in place but I may be mistaken.

Does anybody know what the technical bulletin number referred to at the beginning of this thread is for the Supercharger isolator clunk repair? I understand that there is a replacement plastic/metal isolator part that is a re design to provide a long term solution for this problem. I have a 2015 F Type R with 25K miles that does not clunk at shut off but there is a small "rattle" sound for the motor when first started.

The supercharger must be raised to replace the Isolator, because one of the bolts is hidden. I used to just raise it up in front, no need to disconnect everything in back
or remove it completely.

I always thought it was with the MY 2016 update but FM Thunder Dump disagrees and says it was with the 2018 MY update, see this thread:

https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/f...4/#post2526666

I now suspect there were two updates, one each for the 2016 and 2018 MYs, but I'm not sure which one was the change over from the two piece coolant pipes to the one piece pipes.

Default MY 2017 changed coolant pipes

I was able to convince my dealer that the 2-piece pipes on my car needed to be proactively replaced under warranty. I believe that the new design one-piece pipes required a new water pump as well. FWIW.

I recently had everything under the supercharger changed and they said they'd leave the pump alone because it wasn't leaking and doesn't require supercharger removal when replaced.

Likewise. While my dealer had my supercharger removed to replace the noisy coupler, they noticed my pipes were the older design so they replaced them under warranty as well..
