A friend on mines brother passed away and he has this car. Apparently it is in great shape but they can't get it started. They said they charged the battery but there is no power, even to the lights. They suspect he did something to the car so it couldn't be stolen. Any ideas? I was thinking some sort of master fuse or relay. I'm going to help with the car Wednesday so any info. would be appreciated. Also, she plans to sell it so I wondered if anyone had a place that may buy it or where would be a good starting place to figure out value?

Yes I'm mechanically inclined and do most of my repairs myself. Just not familiar with Jags. Went there yesterday and found the battery would only charge to 5 volts. Replaced battery and car started no problem.
Any suggestions on selling in the Caledon Ontario area? Car is in good shape, stored inside and I don't think it's been driven in the winter.

 

Glad to hear it was the battery as that's the most common failure.
These cars have no value and good luck selling it! I would not expect much as it's now over 25 years old.

Maybe consider listing it on the forum? You never know what people are looking for.
Since you got it started is there anything else wrong with it?
