I presume your belt is slipping?

I have a similar setup and bought my super charger belt on Ebay and no slipping whatsoever.

Its the standard belt for a 2005 XJR.

Is your idler pulley setup working properly?

If your existing belt is not slipping then I do not understand why you want a "tighter" belt?

Why would it be better? If it is not slipping and is moving the pulley with no problem what benefits would a tighter belt provide?

I have the whole new engine and the belt, even if it does not slip, is old and I have to replace it. And since I have to replace it, I thought I'd put a slightly shorter one.

Ok understand now...

Problem is that on belts that I see advertised they do not give measurements just "compatible vehicles".
