Since *cold* air is even better here are a few ideas. Nothing pre-fab, though

doug if you notice my air inlets could be easily made to go forward for cold air!
but on a chassis dyno we made tests, with air filters off and a large overhaed fan blowin cold air down with hood open, engine made 3hp more , hardly worth effort for more mods ,
but like i said could be modded easily!

sorry!Doug no tests done with factory filters.
i only tested with hood closed with K&Ns, and hood open no air filters.
but that factory filter test would be interesting!
they just look constricting to me!! to many corners and air flow direction changes.
best air flow is straight line of site.

I've been experimenting on a my other XJS project and grafted the intake from a 6L v12 with intakes from AJ6 & K&N filters.
Now it's taking in more air than the ECU can figure out so I have to either modify the ECU or try one off the 6L.
The thing that does work better is removing the second catalytic off the exhaust, stainless pipes from main catalytic going back to muffler. There's just a bit less back pressure and more willing to run.
Cheers
