Allowing editing of own posts

Allowing editing of own posts
I notice people who submit posts are not permitted to edit them.
Whis can be very annoying and an unneccessary restriction. It is not uncommon th make small spelling mistakes or use wording that one could want to correct in order to accomplish a higher quality post. Please consider changing this policy. It helps JaguarForums end up with a higher quality material.

gunner, in the bottom right of the text box that you have posted is an "edit" button.
Good practice is to reread your post before clicking on the "post" button. If you have made a mistake after posting, you simply click "edit" and correct mistake or add to post.
Hope this helps.
You as a member can only edit your post not the title.

Ok thanks for clarifying, so it seems new members have a grace period.
I still cannot see any edit button for this post:
https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/x...23/#post579998
Or will the Edit button also expire after some period for new posts ?

Gunnar - what you have been told above is correct.
You are still a "registered member" and have not as yet fulfilled the criteria to make the jump to "Full Forum Acess" member.
I can't see an intro in the new member section for you?
Generally, those who take the time n trouble to make an intro are updated within a day or so, sometimes within an hour or so even.
I have now upgraded your status and you should now be able to edit posts as required.
Like anywhere else in life, the higher your status the more privileges you earn here.
Should be all good for you as of now
Thanks
