Where to post an item covering many various marques
I have some information re preventative maintenace that may be of interest to any owner of an automatic Jaguar irrespective of model.
I can obviously put it in the section for the model I am most interested in but is there a better place.
I have used the search feature across the whole site and only found one meaniful item on the topic. Since then I have searched Google and Youtube for additional information.
There is surprisingly not very much information but what I have found I would like to alert forum members to what is available.

Henry I would post it to the "General Tech" help subforum. If one of us mods feels that it would be more appropriate in a different section we could always move it.
I am very curious as to what you have found.
Meanwhile I hope you mods enjoy the catering.
Its nice to know so many mods are looking after / helping us all.

Should we add a Poll to this thread?
New discovery;
New discovery;
- Cars last longer when not preserved in Rock Salt
- A constant oil leak and constant topping up means that you will never need to change your oil.
- Having tow bars front and rear can really help prevent dings when nudge parking.
- Greasing brake disks to prevent rust is not perhaps the best solution.

Well I will tell you what my item is about - changing the tranny fluid with a machine.
The slight differences in language either side of the pond, even after many years, still throws up some odities.
On this site, I found just one reference to dialysis which in my view describes the process quite closely in terms that form a simple image.
From further searches, I have just found that in the USA a "flusher" is the description used.
A Flusher in the UK is politely described as" A workman employed in cleaning sewers by flushing them with water"
A further search using "flusher" found just five new interesting references.
So the subject has been aired before but not very often.
I have found at least one Youtube item that I think is rather good at showing and explaining the kit by a regular guy in a small tranny servicing company.
Other Youtube clips I describe as "salesman sites".
I have found a few makers of flushers that may be of interest.
To save folks doing all the searching I have done I was planning to list all the existing forum items I have found and add in my comments and the links/items above.
Can I assume it is Ok to go ahead ?

Me too. Can we get a hint or a preview please?
