Default 11 XK. What a treat.

Good afternoon. New to the forum after picking up a 2011 XK a couple of weeks ago. I've had a couple of XFs but this is a real step up. As expected with a 9 year old high milage car, there are a few hiccups but most now sorted. Tobacco smell gone, bluetooth with the Bovee sorted, just need to find a way of locking the drivers door! It locks from the inside but it just double beeps when trying to lock it from outside. The alarm goes if you open the door without the key. Frustrating but once sorted my smile will just get broader. Great car and so beautiful.

Welcome to the forums aldr,

That could be a faulty microswitch in the door latch.

Follow this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/xk-xkr-x150-33/ to the X150 forum for help, advice and information. The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for information on regular issues. You can also use the UK & Eire Region forum by following this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/uk-eire-68/ to find other members in your region.

Please add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.

Hello,
Congratulations on your Latest Jaguar!
I firmly believe that the Best and most treasured cars are those that need a bit of "sorting" before they're Just Right. I'm thinking this is because you now have a personal investment of time and effort, and you haven't merely thrown money at it for someone else to have all the fun.

Welcome to the forums from ElinorB.

Thanks. Agreed. I do feel the car is becoming more mine with every little thing I sort. Even managed to get both my teenage daughters in the back today.... without too much squeezing... . So all going in the right direction!
