My lifelong dream of owning a Jaguar coupe is coming true tomorrow...I'm picking up my XKR175! The original XK-E was a catalyst for turning me into a car-obsessed geek when I was 6 or 7 years old. And now 40-something years later, I'm finally becoming a Jaguar owner.

I was kicking tires on several other cars in May and June (including the entire Jaguar lineup, Porsche Panamera and 911, Maserati GT, etc.) and wasn't really planning on buying anything until next year and then I saw the initial press release about the XKR175 and immediately knew it was THE ONE. Hopefully I'll still feel that way months and years to come.

I'll post something in the XK section after I bring the black beast home to its new den.

People on this forum seem like a good bunch. I've enjoyed reading through pages and pages over the past couple months. Hopefully I'll have something worthwhile to contribute.

What color ?

 

The 175 comes only in Ultimate Black Metallic with charcoal interior/red stitching. Gorgeous. No regrets in my first 12 hours of ownership!

I ordered my XKR175 back in May or something close to that and it arrived three weeks ago while I've been in Arizona. It's been sitting in Naperville all this time...
