Bimmer Lover, Cross Pollenating.
Greetings everyone.
By way of introduction I'm Moose, and I love my BMWs. I haven't been exclusive to BMWs over the decades, but there are always two or three in the stable at all times.
As far as Jaguars are concerned, I've had four so far. A 1976 XJS, which developed terminal rust. A 1984 XJ6 which ate more in suspension components than any car I've ever owned. A 1994 XJ6, which was just a bundle of Lucas/Ford wiring problems, but ran fantastically when several of the relays were hard wired. Now I have recently purchased a 2001 XJ8 which suffers from ZF transmission syndrome.
For my entire driving-life I've been a euro-trash driver. I've had several Mercedes, several Porsches, numerous Audis, a Lotus Esprit (I still have nightmares), two Maserati Biturbo Coupes (I clearly have a learning disability), An Alfa GTV6, An Alfa 75, and a couple of Fiats which will remain nameless.
I'm also on my third marriage, and that may have something to do with my automotive infidelity.
I'm not afraid to turn a wrench, or experiment, or to do an ill advised swap. Anything can be achieved depending on how much money you're willing to throw at something.
