Check Engine Light
Hi Am new here have a XJR Supercharge.2003
check engine light has been on but car driving fine
trying to get light to turn off has diagnostic code of
P1601. Any suggests?

It's a transmision control error code. Here's the relevant extract from the Jaguar lookup.
P1601:TCM memory / computer fault
Possible Causes:
1. TCM – Dual linear switch – transmission wiring and/or connector(s) fault. (Short circuit; open circuit; high resistance)
2. TCM failure

Please add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.
