Anybody With a 2016 F type R experience what appears to be a dead car. I went to get mine out yesterday and it won't wake up. I was able to gain access into the car with the manual key but couldn't open the glove box to check owners manual, couldn't open the trunk to look for a battery after finding nothing under the hood. Called dealer and service department closed, sales staff was of little help. Hope this isn't the beginning of a bad relationship.

Welcome.

Not a good start, and a dealer closed is also frustrating.

Someone on the F Type section will know the answer, so I suggest a quickie repost.

All cars have a battery +ve terminal in the ngine bay for just such happenings, but I dont know where it is on your car.

Update on the battery issue. Turns out car doesn't always go to sleep and discharges the battery. I found out about a service bulletin addressing this issue and advised the dealership. Which they say doesn't exist, anyway it takes an updated download to reprogram some module that has a glitch in it. Would have been nice to receive a notice. Fast forward, went to pick up the car only to find the cars rear perched on top of a parking lot curb, Da! they damaged the car which is most upsetting, talking with Attorney and North America Jaguar. Knew I should of bought the Porsche!

Thanks, not sure where this is going to end up. So frustrating dealing with people who just don't get it. Meanwhile no car, probably the service manager road testing for me to make sure the body putty they applied to my nice new car stays put while hitting the railroad tracks at about 90 mph.
