Default Engine closed down. Smoking engine. All electrics died. Dashboard flashed every fault

Hi,
My car shut down everything.
All lights were flashing inside, smoke coming from engine.
All power lost. Put oil into engine.
Opened bonnet and put charge through to open boot.
Key fob wouldn't open boot. Internal boot button wouldn't open boot.
Lights in car coming up with all warnings.
Thinks all car doors and boot are open.
Any advice to get boot open?
2011 XJ L 3L Diesel. No special access near number plate to open boot.
Please advise.
Thanks.

Oh Dear!! All the smoke escaped! This is not a good thing!

Welcome to the forums Desbed,

Good to have you with us.

I can see you've already found your way to the X351 forum with this problem so there's no need for a link to it from me. You can also use the UK & Eire Region forum by following this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/uk-eire-68/ to find other members in your region.

Please add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.

I hope you can get into the boot without having to cause any damage.

Graham
