Default Greetings From PA USA 2000 S type

Hello. My name is Tom and I own a 2000 Jaguar S Type 4.0 in Carnival Red. Current miles is just 30,000. I bought this two summers ago from a Rolls Royce / Bentley dealer with 23,000 on it. It had been kept as a spare on an estate and was traded in on a new Bentley since it wasn't getting any use. Car was mint, you could tell it was garaged since new.

All was well until someone ran a stop sign and smacked my wife in the front left corner. The car is drivable, but I do need to do some repairs.

Welcome to the forum Tom,

That sounds the best provenance you could hope to find on a used Jaguar. Sorry to hear about the accident. I hope no one was injured and repairs are straightforward.

Follow this link S-Type / S type R Supercharged V8 - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum to the S-Type section for help, advice and information. The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for info on regular issues.

Remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.

You can also visit the US North East Region section by following this link North East US - ME NH VT MA RI CT NJ NY PA - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum to find other members in your region.

Enjoy the forum.

Thanks for the welcome replies! I was very surprised when the forum accepted the name "Jaguar S Type" as I figured that would have been one of the first ones to go!

I bought my S Type because I've always thought they were so pretty, ever since they first appeared. When I saw mine on eBay in red, in perfect condition, and low miles, I knew I would never do better than that. This is not an everyday car, it's one we use when we're going out somewhere. We want to keep it nice for a long time.

I have had my eye out for parts in the same color (left front fender and bumper) so that it won't appear to have paint work done on it. If anyone has these, please contact me.

Many thanks and I hope to enjoy the board!

I've added my car to my garage and have added a signature. This is a test post to see if the signature actually appears!

Ah, I see it works. This is my first photo of the car once it was ready for delivery to me. It had 23,000 original miles on it and was perfect in every way! There was no way I wasn't buying it.
