Smile Hello from Burien WA! 1995 XJ6 Owner

Hello, I'm Phoenix R. Cavalier, and I hope you're doing well!
So, why did I join the forum? Simple! To learn more, get advice, and perhaps stumble upon spare parts or other gems to bring home for my 95 X300.

As it turns out, back in 1998, I was at a Jaguar event, where the newly updated XJ was parked inside an art gallery. Ford was showing off the redundancies built into the new models electrical systems. As they unplugged various connections, the engine kept running and the car was at ease. It was pretty impressive and the cars design was so wonderful. It was something I've recalled ever since. To cut it short, I'm happy to say an XJ6 has found its way into my life.

I recently purchased the car I've named Greyson, a well-owned 1995 Jaguar XJ6, with just 103,000 miles. I'm the 3rd owner, 2nd owners had the car for 19 years, the first five were with a doctor who lived in Hawaii. I've owned 48 cars since I was 16. I currently own a 1980 Fiat Spider, a daily Audi Q5, and an old reliable 1997 Avalon. The XJ6 is something I never thought I would find, but for $1k, I couldn't pass up on this great example. I've read tons of information, and watched hours of video, and have a deep love for the X300. It's such a great moment in Jaguar design, and hopefully Hagerty will add it to their radar soon. ;-)

I look forward to catching up again soon!

All the best,
Mr. Cavalier

Default Thanks for the warm welcome!

I'll be sure to update my signature with my car's info. So far, I'm being patient and not driving the Jag much until I get all the hoses, belts, pullies and such replaced in the next couple weeks. It runs well now, but after sitting for a while, I'd hate to ruin a great car for being impatient. Honestly though, I feel like a kid waiting for Santa - I can't wait to drive it more often.
