After having found very valuable important information in this forum since I bought my Jaguar XKR (1998.75) 6 years ago I finally felt it is high time to join!
My Jag is constant source of repair work though I hope I'm almost through the most important stuff.
This forum here is by far the best jaguar forum in the web when searching for hints how to fix your car.
Furthermore a big praise to the Web UI designer! The UI is really outstanding!
I'm looking forward to exchange information here and maybe also find some members living close by and driving the same car as I do.
After six years searching here, you won't need a link to X300 forum from me. The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for information on regular issues. You can also use the Europe Region forum by following this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/europe-42/ to find other members in your region.

My problem:
I just posted into the "XK8/XKR - Non-OEM interchangable Parts Thread" making a mistake by not using "quote" but "quick reply" for a posting (I thought my posting would appear below the #34).
There is no EDIT button for my post. I also couldn't find an hint in guidance for new members to activate it somehow.Do I have to wait until I'm fully qualified?
My post is of not much help without the reference to the former post or a description of the part.
Sorry for the inconvenience.
Thank you Graham, for the quick fix!
Now I also have the edit button available on my post.
Maybe it was a hickup in the system or my safari browser, since there was no edit button 1 hour after I had created the post.
If you haven't done so already you should add your car details to your signature to help others to help you.
