Default Hello from Finland!

Hi to everybody on the forum?

I bought my first "JAAG"(as Jeremy says it) last summer with a bad head gasket, well didn´t get to it before now...
I´m a owner of a small truck company dealing with craneworks and road constructions.
We have our own repairshop for our trucks and other "vehicles"...
I´m also a certified car mechanic, my older brother is even a technician in cars, but we both work in my company.

We have almost everything you could need in our garage, CNC plasmacutter(bought from a school very cheep), Bridgeport Millilng machine, an old lathe and our own sandblasting ecuipment with both extern and automatic boxblasting (fits any V8 you can find)(that one I bought cheap from an aluminium casting factory that bought bigger ecuipments), and of course we have all the usual welding and so...
(One thing I´ve learnd is being in the right place at the right time make you have many and cheap toys...)

So as you probably guessed we do all repairs "in house" no matter what.
Should tell you that we are more MB fans than JAAG but who knows what the future brings...

For the moment we have 1 JAAG, 9 MBs, 7 skrap MBs, 1 JEEP, 1 BMW, 1 CORVETTE, 2 LYNX 2012 snowmobiles, 1 Suzuki Intruder, 1 Kawasaki, 2 Polaris ATVs, + the trucks and a wheelloader that we use at the shop yard.
BTW. The Corvette is a total resto that i bought for my firstborn son when he was born, promiced everybody that it´s finished when he get his driving license (still have 2 years left) but it ain´t finished yet...
)

As for myself I love anything that goes fast or make an awsome noice(Intruder).

I´m a bit behind my son because I did my first engine swap at the age of 12 WITH my father, my son did his first swap at the age of 11 without anyones help, and even installed an Turbocharger and Cooler on that(made his own intake/excaust manifolds also), the car was an MB C200 Diesel he put in a 220 24Valve Diesel with automatic in it(appr. 250hp as now).
I think his first big thing was when he got an old tractor 1954 from his uncle at the age of 7 and we did a complete resto to it.

So that´s a little about me and my family(do have a 14 year daughter and a 6 year boy that is following his older brothers footsteps).

Sincerely yours.

Hello, Ulf,
It looks like you're set up to deal with just about anything a JAAG will throw at you. Congratulations on your new acquisition!

Welcome to the forums from ElinorB.

Welcome.

That XJ40 with the 3.2 engine is one sweet machine.

Plenty of tips, if needed, in the XJ40 section for that little maintenance task.

Welcome to the forum Ulf,

Good to have you with us at Jaguar forums. Thanks for a great Intro.

I can see you've already found your way to the XJ40 forum so there's no need for a link to it from me.
The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for information on regular issues.

Please remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.

You can also visit the Europe Region forum by following this link Europe - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum
to find other members in your region.

Enjoy the forums.

Graham
