Just a little info on me. I'm a retired Chief of Police, now work with family as pawn broker and have been a jeweler for 30 years. I just recently bought my first Jag from my brother about a month ago, 1997 XK8, maroon w/ tan top and interior, 107500 miles. Car had several issues, bad engine ecu that he could not find any one to fix it, even the local dealer. On my first shot found a mechanic who found the problem, had the ecu rebuilt, car runs great. Several other minor problems that have been taken care of. Still have a couple of issues that I will be addressing the forum with. I will have to admit my first love is my 1979 Hugger Orange Camaro Z28 with a 454 bored to 468, 525 hp. Have been working on it for a couple of years and it is turning out nicely. Now about the Jag, having trouble keeping the wife from wanting to take it all the time, just have to deal with this problem. Be talking to you on the forum.

In the space of a year my Jaguar went from:
"Your Car" to "The Jaguar" to "Our Car" I suspect in a few more months I will simply be the mechanic to "Her Car" seems to be a common problem with wifes. I suspect I will have to expand the garage and get my own.
