Hello - Long time reader first time posting

I've been a forum voyeur since 2012 but recently retired and am finally going to make some good use of the info here and hopefully add back some value at some point. The contributors to this forum are impressive.

First project is adding bluetooth audio capability to my 1998 XJR that I've owned since 2002. Utilized all the VERY HELPFUL information provided by previous explorers to make this happen. 99% done with the project. I have it working with a battery powered bluetooth receiver but intend to utilize a hardwired bluetooth adapter. Installed a ACX-BT1 but it kept shutting itself off after 4 seconds of audio and restarting. Oddly if no audio it stayed connected. I talked through the issues with the supplier and they think it is a faulty device so I sent it back to retailer and they are going to test it and send me a different one if it is faulty.

Now I'm looking at doing the same to my 2004 Vanden Plas. That looks like is another level of modification to make that work. So I'm going to think on that for a while.

I've added vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. If you want to change these, go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.
