Hello everyone. I'm new to the forum and new to Jaguars in general. I recently bought a used California 2000 XK8 convertible. Overall it looks like a decent car, but I'm sure I'll find several issues going forward. My background is in engineering (automotive powertrains) and my first experience with the XK8 was a chance to drive one for the weekend in the late 90's while working as an intern at the Ford Research Lab. Since then, I've always loved the XK8, but never thought I would have a chance to own one. A nearby dealership took this particular car in as a trade-in and its has sat unloved on a subzero Michigan used car lot until I picked it up for what I hope was a good price. Looking forward to warmer weather to enjoy this beautiful car.

Please remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.

Hey nice meeting up with you last week, nice car - hope you find some winter wheels for you but at least we determined that 2000 XJ8 16" will not clear your calipers.
