Hello from N.Ireland
Just quick introduction.
owner of a beautiful 2.0D 2106 XF in Caesium Blue with black pack/privacy glass. (best colour combo if you ask me).
standard car other than 20inch wheels, debadged boot with black leeper replacing the chrome one and some smoked dynamic wing mirror indicators.
Issues I've had with the car during my owner ship: 2 wheel speed sensor failures. Every Injector seal has blown at various stages, alternator also packed in at about 70k which I thought was very early but I guess wee electrical gremlins is part of the fun of JLR ownership.
Full service to be done in the next couple of weeks. Had major issues trying to get my nearest Jag dealer to contact me to book it in so decided to do it all myself as its all quite straight forward for the 86k service to include fuel filter and I quite handy around vehicles. Also going to do a gearbox oil change too (requires full gearbox sump change) while I'm doing it as I don't agree with Jag saying it isn't needed till the 105k service (ZF say 50-60k I believe) so I'm nicely In Between the too.
Nice to be a part of the community. Thanks for having me.

Welcome to the forums aedgar0485,
Good to have you with us.
I had been putting my XK into the dealer for service just to maintain the full OnLine Service History but they refused to service it during lockdown and I've gone back to DIY. You'll have seen from the schedules you posted there's nothing too technical involved. It's only fairly recently that JLR have even acknowledged transmissions aren't 'sealed for life' so I'd go with the ZF recommendation too.
I know you've already found your way to the X760 forum so there's no need for a link to it from me. You can also use the UK & Eire Region forum by following this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/uk-eire-68/ to find other members in your region.

Cheers
I had taken it to the main dealer post covid as they had a decent deal for an oil change service and safety inspection for £149
They insisted on doing a software update for the emissions at the same time and that included a free oil change so got it all for £49 that being said the auto start stop hasn't worked since not sure if it's related but similarly I'm not too annoyed by that.
I managed to source a Mahle gearbox kit at my local motor factors and ordered the Millers atf8 oil over the ZF own brand as they seem to be the same spec and Opie oils had a great deal going at the time even with the ridiculous shipping to N.Ireland. Glad to hear Jag have finally acknowledged that it's not sealed for life. Relatively easy job too thankfully.

My dealer (Stratstone Jaguar) used to do 'fixed price' servicing at little more than cost of parts and materials. Post Covid lockdown this disappeared and prices doubled.
Opie Oils usually have the best price when I'm looking for oil and on the mainland, their standard delivery is FREE. What do they charge to NI?

Opie charge a flat rate of £12.50 to N. Ireland so I just ordered gearbox oil and enough engine oil to do two services to make it worth my while. So overall for the weight I ordered £12.50 didn't seem too bad.
