Default Hi New member nottm UK

Hi to every one and glad to be here.

I live in the UK in Nottingham ( Robin Hood country near the Castle )

Have been the proud owner of three jaguars / XJ 3.2 1965 / X type Sport 3,0 2002 and present 2004 XJ 8 SE.

Would like to post my first thread of which is wiring of day time running lights.

As my car is wired Negative switched and of which some of you guys are a where of i would like some advice on a system to work for me here in the UK of DRL`S on with ignition and and dim when side lights on.

This also being legal for drivers this side of the pond.

DRL`S fitted/ Philips 8 but not yet wired but will be hopefully soon

Thanks in advance and again glad to be here and hopefully give back some knowledge i have gained through the years and owning three great cars.

Stuart

Hi and welcome. My maternal grandfather came from Nottingham. To entertain us as children he'd pull out a sliver of flint claiming that he'd found it in Sherwood Forest. When we'd say 'Robin Hood', he'd say 'Who?' Worked every time.

I think your car already has DRLs installed. They can be activated by the dealer.

I haven't finished digging through all the ancestry records yet but several generations of the family lived in East Bridgford prior to moving into the city, Carlton.
