My name is Alejandro, I live in Chile. I'm a computer scientist, I work in the astronomical sciences field, and I've just bought a MY13 XFR, I placed some comments about it on a recent thread. Apologies for not introducing myself first.
I'm quite excited about the car, a bit nervous, to be honest, but it's kind of a leap of faith. I'm sure that with good maintenance, I should have no big issues. My trackday days are past, and I intend to use the car for daily driving, school runs and conmuting to work, with a bit of spirited driving over the highway. I suppose the occasional weekend trip to stretch her legs and enjoy life
I've owned many rides before this one, and back in the day, I used to do some basic mechanical work (and some not so basic) in the cars. I learnt that the best way to enjoy mechanical work, was to having the right tools for the job. Although it took me awhile to figure that one out :P
I evolved from doing street racing, to trackday driving to drifting in racetracks, after that, it was time to settle down and start a family, although without renouncing to be a petrolhead.
well, that's about it.

As you've already found your way to the X250 forum, there's no need for a link to it from me. I've just gone back and re-read the thread on this vehicle. The PO appears to be open about previous repairs and maintenance and, although the list frightened off Felo, there's nothing out of the ordinary. Hoever, dealer repairs are expensive anywhere and Chile will be no exception. I think you will have to start doing basic mechanical work again to keep running costs at a reasonable level.
Please add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.
