Default Hi everyone! New to the forum

Hi all, My name is Mo and I just bought 2010 Jaguar Supercharged. Just found out my wife has heart failure at 45 and let’s say it hasn’t been easy for her so I decided to surprise her for her birthday next week with her dream car. The car is physically in excellent shape inside and out however mechanically it needs a timing job. I read everywhere not to buy a Jaguar with engine issues but I picked the car up for $1700 and figured I could spend the summer working on it. I don’t know anything about mechanics however this forum seems to be full of info and there’s several videos and shop manuals showing how to work on the timing chain and tensioners so I think it’ll be a fun project. I’ll include 2 videos of the car on here and I’d appreciate it immensely if you guys can let me know if it’s a good buy or not. I’m just learning about the newer Jags. I did own a 1956 xk140 roadster but I traded it for full custody of my children in the divorce from the first wife. I apologize for being so long winded. Thanks everyone for all the info on here. Any advise will be more than welcomed and if there’s anyone in Michigan on here that would like to get together that would be great!

Hello, Mo,
I'm so sorry your wife has developed heart failure. I'm thinking she's too young for that!
How wonderful you have bought her such a gift! What a Prince!

Welcome to the forums from ElinorB.
