Welcome to the Forums.

Probably bushes and shockers at that age.

The members in the XJ8 (X308) Tech Section will have better answers for you.

Good luck.

Welcome to the forums Franklin,

It could be as there's plenty of bearings and bushes to wear on the rear suspension. A common failure is the "A" Frame bushes - arrowed red in this diagram:

Follow this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/xj-xj8-xjr-x308-27/ to the X308 forum for help, advice and information. The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for information on regular issues.

Please add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.

You can also use the US Lower Atlantic Region forum by following this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/u...r-atlantic-66/ to find other members in your region.

Enjoy the forums.

Hello, Franklin,
If my car was doing that I would look at shock bushings first and go from there.
But that's just me.

Welcome to the forums from ElinorB.
