Default Hi from Perth

Hi Everyone,

Around 2 years ago I purchased a 2005 Jaguar S-type 3.0 V6 for my first car. I've loved it so far and couldn't imagine driving a different car now, and am hoping it will be the first Jag of many. I've put nearly 40,000km's on it since I first purchased it, and have had almost no problems with it.

Recently however, my yaw rate sensor has failed leaving me looking for a replacement. I was hoping someone might be able to provide some advice as to which part number is compatible with my car. The part most places seem to stock seems to be the C2C34671 which is generally listed as being compatible with almost every S-type from 2000-2008, however I'm quite sure this is a more recent part than the one originally fitted to my vehicle, which I think is a C2C13790. My guess would be that while the C2C3671 is a newer part, it is backwards compatible with the models that did not have it originally fitted however, I was hoping someone might be able to confirm this for me before I ordered the part. I'm probably going to order the part myself, but will have it fitted when I next take my car to be serviced rather than fitting it myself.

Thanks in advance

Welcome to the Forums.

Part numbers change for many , many reasons, upgrade, supplier, etc etc.

The members in the S Type (X200) Tech Section will know better.

Good luck.
