Default Hi From Queensland Australia

Hi all,

My name is Peter (Happy Pappy) and I have owned a 1989 XJ6 for about fifteen years.

Last weekend I upgraded to a 2006 XJ8 (X350) and am in the process of fitting her with the right wheels and tyres to fill out those wheel wells to give her a more sure-footed looking stance.

Before the X350 purchase I test drove a new Ford Falcon and Holden Commodore keen for a daily driver that was not going to break the bank on an on-going basis. Although they were both nice cars the test drives were very unremarkable and I felt hugely uncomfortable being engulfed in so much damn dark coloured plastic. I mean really? Apparently the about-to-be-released new Mustang (which I have always been super keen on) is the same which is extremely disappointing.

So it was a no brainer .... another Jag.

Cheers all

Happy Pappy

Hello, Peter,
Husband and I have looked at a few 'new' cars in the past couple years, and I find that I too am "uncomfortable being surrounded by dark plastic!" So we keep the Rolling Greenhouse, Ford Windstar, and keep working on my Jaguar.

Welcome to the forums from ElinorB.
