Long time lurker and recent XKR (2001- 55K) owner signing in for the first time. Long time British Car addict from way back....I know, I know, it's a pitiful affliction. What can I say....beautiful styling, crazy engineering and poor build quality always does it for me.... Over the years I've done ground up restorations of '54 TR2, '64 MGB, '68 MGC and '62 Austin Healey 3000 BN7 and thought I'd take a shot at something a bit 'newer' and less distressed. This Jag is cosmetically very good but suffers from considerable benign neglect in the mechanical areas. I've already rebuilt the front shocks, brakes and front suspension, headlamp washers, power headrest flex-drive and done some LED lighting conversions. Plans are in place for replacing timing chains/tensioners, rear brakes and a rear suspension refresh over the summer. Looking forward to picking the brains of you other sufferers as the project continues.

Hello,
Congratulations on your new Jaguar! My Next Jaguar will be one of these, rag top and everything.
"Benign Neglect." What an appropriate term for what we see in Used Jaguars. As long as it runs, they don't worry about those little noises.
