Loved jags since 1976 Finally have one
Hi all,
my name is Tom, and live in Slower Lower Delaware at the beach. I served 3 years in the US ARMY, and pulled great duty in Germany at the end of the Vietnam Nam War. I was a Ch 47 CHINOOK mechanic. I had the opportunity to drive a “68” XKE on the auto bahn. I only got it up to 155mph. That was the day I fell in love with Jaguar. I just bought my First Jag, it’s a pacific blue 2006 xk8 convertible, with the 4.2L engine. I have been looking for months, and am self taught, thanks to Utube. I finally found one worth maintaining. I hope to learn much more from this forum. First up….prevent the GREEN SHOWER, I’m going the flush out the old fluid… thank you to John from to the garage, your knowledge sharing is brilliant!
any and all advise is welcomed by this newbie. Happy touring to all. ✌🏻& 🫶🏻 always.

Greetings Tom and welcome to JF.
After the E-Type (and we loved ours for nearly 40 years) you will really love the XK8.
Different experience and plenty to keep you busy in maintaining it.
Cheers and best wishes,
