Question My daughter thinks Daddys new car is a Lion! raaa!

Hi there, my name is Dan and I have recently aquired my first Jaguar. It is a 2005 X-Type 2.2d in gunmetal grey. I am very pleased with it so far and the only modification I have made so far is to change the headlight bulbs. That was a fun job, not! Oh and to replace a front foggie!!
The only issue I have with the car is that sometimes, the Sat-Nav tells me that the disc installed is not a map one, but a quick eject and reload usually sorts this problem first time (sometimes 2 or 3 tries). Does anyone else have this problem? Could it be the disc or the laser? Any thoughts?
I'm digressing, this was supposed to be a quick introduction from myself and my 2 year old daughter who also loves Daddies car.... RAAA!!

Welcome to the forum Dan & daughter,

Good to have you here, I think you'll find some discussion on Nav problems in the X section.

Dan just go right to the bottom of this page, you will see a box labelled forum jump, click on the small arrow and you will see a list of all the forum sections, click on X type and the magic of the interweb will transfer you.

Hello Dan and welcome to jaguarforums.com. I know that you are anxious to get started and we are anxious to meet you and talk about your car. We have a baseline / criteria that must be met before full access can be granted. Please enjoy the forum and be patient once the baseline has been satisfied full access will be granted. Please continue to post and accept my welcome to the forum.

One other thing you need to put your car details in your signature. I am speaking of the Year, Make & Model. Without it you may not get the input you are looking for.

Please take a moment and read the information provided to you explaining the rules. Be patient and enjoy the site.

Also, should you have questions related to your vehicle please post it in the section for your model year (MY) car. This way you will reach all the members that are familiar with your MY car.
