Default Need a wheel - 2003 XKR Convertible

This is a 20 inch BBS 2 part wheel. My car is a 2003 Black XKR convertible. The wheel is apparently out of round and setting up a harmonic that makes the fasteners back out of the rim. I am trying to find another wheel, or find a way to fix this one. I have seen several machine shops, queried most of the junk yards and talked to various dealers. Nobody seems to be able to help me. Can you help or steer me to someone who can?

Welcome to the forum Hroberts,

Good to have you with us at Jaguar forums.

I'm amazed the titanium bolts are backing out. When I've had 20 inch split rim alloys refurbished, they have been so secure with Loktite that there was a serious risk of shearing.

Follow this link
https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/xk8-xkr-x100-17/ to the XK8/XKR forum for help, advice and information. The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for information on regular issues.

Please add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.

You can also visit the US Southern Midwest Region forum by following this link
https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/u...rn-midwest-67/ to find other members in your region.

Enjoy the forums.

Default Help

How do I edit my name and add my car?
The closest I can find is “edit signature”. It say “go to upper left and click CP”.

What’s that?
Should I just start all over again with a new name?

Thanks

Hardy,

I've added Signature details for you. This should appear automatically with your next post. If you wish to make amendments, click the User CP button on the black menu bar. In the Control Panel which opens, go down to Edit Signature:

Click on Edit Signature to open the relevant dialogue box for data entry.

Default Editing signature

Thank you for responding to this question.
For the life of me - and I’ve been looking all morning, how do I get to that screen that you so so kindly highlighted?
i am trying to follow the rules here, but finding things difficult. Sorry.

Hardy,

That depends on the hardware you are using to access the forum and the view you have selected. As you forum Signature didn't appear on your last post, I think you may be using a smartphone or tablet and Mobile Site view?

The screenshot in my post is the Full Site view. The Mobile Site option doesn't display User CP.

Default Ah - “now I see thru a glass, darkly”

Ok I’m on an I phone 7. I do own a Sony laptop but it has a “Vista” operating system and the geniuses at MicroRob have deemed it obsolete.

l’ll go over to it tho and try - wish me luck and many thanks for your reply.

To switch from Mobile Site on an iPhone, swipe from the left to reveal the menu:

Select View Full Site:

This will give the view with User CP on the left of the top (black) menu bar:

This is on my iPhone SE but the iPhone 7 should be the same.
