Default new dude from Los Angeles

Hello, my name is Raul. im just dropping in to introduce myself. im learning about one of my current projects. its a 1960 MKII with a manual trans. sorry for being vague on the car but im just learing about these. im deep into Chevrolet and VW but Jag is new to me, i have some knowledge on the 97 xk8 as i have done lots to that one for my uncle. i did the chains and tensioners, one way heater valve bypass, radiator repair and read on the different ones so i went with the Hella, coolant reservoir replacement, belt tensioner repair, trans service filter and fluid, front end rebuild and strut replacement, rear shocks and sway bar bushing replacements, front and back brakes. seat position module swap, water pump repair, trans cooler lines repair/revision. oh and had two thermostats replaced until i used a factory one again.

Provided nothing was poking out the side of a shattered block at the end of the minute, I'd rate that as a big success.

A good way to learn about SU carburettors and running gear on the Mk2 is to spend time on that forum.

Best of luck on your new project!
