New Jag Owner, New to Forum
Hello, fellow Jaguar enthusiasts.
Name here is David (or Dave), and I'm a new Jaguar owner. I was fortunate to find a excellent condition '02 XJ8 with 52K on the clock. Vehicle was definitely garage-kept, as interior is practically in showroom condition. VIN shows F45XXX, so my cat *should* have the third gen tensioners in the 4L V8 (I'm hoping), but I have yet to verify the engine block serial number.
Wow! What a great car, and I got a fantastic deal on it too!

After a new set of shoes, the car feels like it's on rails, and goes exactly where I tell it too. Man, I thought the Volvo drove well...anyone want to buy a used Volvo?
First order of business - thank you to this forum, and its membership for the friendly exchange of great information. Info in the forum is what made me decide to adopt this cat. Since I'm new to Jags, I'll have little to contribute at first; but as I learn over time, I expect to become a contributing member of the community.
I'll endeavor to get some good pics of her in the near future, and post them. Should anyone know of any Jaguar clubs in Northern Florida, I'd be interested in learning about them.
Cheers!

Welcome to the forum David,
Good to have you with us at Jaguar forums.
t sounds like you already know your way to the X308 tech forum so there's no need for a link to it from me. The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for info on regular issues.
Please remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.
You can also visit the USA Lower Atlantic Region forum by following this link USA Lower Atlantic - NC SC FL GA - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum to find other members in your region.
Enjoy the forums.

Thanks for the warm receptions... Now that I've put about 500 miles on her, and checking things out, I'll likely be posting some questions in the X308 tech board a little later, after a few more well-crafted searches.
Some of my questions have already been answered by searching that board, but a couple have not.
What is the best practice for posting in the tech area - one post per problem/question, or all problems/questions in a single post?
Thanks much.
