New Jaguar S type R - Naples, FL
Just got my first Jaguar, a 2005 S Type R, black with black and dove interior. I have a couple ?s off the bat that i can not find answers to, i hope you all can help.
First - The red light on the dash for the security system is on constantly whether it is armed or not. it never blinks as far as i can remember.
Second - The alpine sound system sounds pretty weak. my last car was a honda element (same year) with a stock system and it blows this one away.
Third - is their anywhere i can find what size speakers are in the doors and where is the sub? (tried crutchfield - no luck)
Lastly - Jaguar voice - how do you enable it, when i hit the button it just mutes the stereo. Also is the bluetooth useless, i thought i read on here that no phones are compatible anymore.
Any answers would be greatly appreciated or just point me in the right direction, Thanks in advance.

welcome and congrats, big upgrade from the honda! I dont know if your a UF fan or not with your name but thats cool too if you are
also from Florida. A big help on the Alpine system is if you have navigation go to the DSP setting and put it on rear. I dont know why but on my car it makes it a million times better and gives you a nice surround sound noise. No clue about the alarm light. As far as Jaguar voice if you press that button and it just mutes the stereo you might not have it. The bluetooth works with 99% of bluetooth phones from what ive heard.

great, let us know how it sounds! If you need more tuning specs I'd be happy to give you more as I'm an avid audiophile. I'm also finishing up here at UF. If everything continues going well, prayerfully, I will graduate in the spring. I cant wait to be done!

Congrats on the new car. I'm in the Central FL Area if you're ever out cruising. I usually pass by Tampa all the time.
