1st off I really appreciate this forum & all others like it. I'm 26 and currently live on the gulf coast in Alabama and this forum is great for those like myself who want their vehicles serviced/repaired the right way but most importantly need the know how on how to do it ourselves so we can appreciate and value the time and effort and as im finding out very quickly the cash it takes. I don't want to fork over cash I don't really have and my trust has run dry so id like to know exactly what needs fixed and how so I know im not being over charged. I'm not the smartest guy in the world but with my things id rather be at fault than someone else being at fault.
So I come to here. Where I feel I wont be manipulated, where I can trust compassionate genuine people, and best of all learn the ins and outs big or small about these beautiful cats.
Ive recently traded a vehicle for a 2005 X-Type 3.0 with around 180k miles. it was not running when I traded. within two days of visiting forums and facebook groups someone suggested I unplug the maf sensor and try to start the car and after doing so it worked. it started right up but was in limp mode. cel and abs light were and still is on. I've recently had it scanned and the following codes are what showed up:


P0102 - MASS OR VOLUME AIR FLOW A CIRCUIT LOW INPUT CONFIRMED


P0112 - INTAKE AIR TEMP. SENSOR 1 CIRCUIT LOW INPUT


P0302 - CYLINDER 2 MISFIRE CONFIRMED


P0352 - IGNITION COIL B PRIMARY/SECONDARY CIRCUIT MALFUNCTION


P1314 - NO DTC DEFINITION FOUND SEE SERVICE MANUAL CONFIRMED


Previous owner said he has recently changed all 6 plugs and packs. Battery seems to be good. The CEL also appeared to be flashing a couple different times I was driving it. Anybody have any advise for me on things I could help narrow down the different possibilities on what could be causing this to happen. For some reason I feel like it may be 1 or 2 small things that's causing all this ruckus and rough driving. I also don't have access to a reader/scanner so I wont be able to do much more as far as reading or clearing codes. The guy at the part store was looking into another reading on the bank code and did a live test and I think and said something was up because of 1 side was like 0 or 1% and the other side was around 12% and as it idles dropped down to around 9% before the scanner was unplugged. I appreciate everyones time who reads or replies! Thank you!

Please remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.

Welcome, I have an 03 and have practically replaced half the car's maintenance parts. As far as code P1314...

P1314 JAGUAR - Misfire Rate Catalyst Damage Fault Bank 2
I know this is an old thread but I have gotten a lot of good info from people responding to old threads.

Absolutely BUT not to old Intro threads. A lot of members generally read these when first posted, some reply but few ever look at them again. Bringing back a technical thread in a Model forum is far more successful and useful.

I didn't even realize it was an intro thread, I found it by searching that code as I had the same code. My problem was a coul that split in half and all 3 plugs on that bank fouled from running on 5 cylinders for a minute or s​o
