My name is Lisa. I'm from New Mexico. I have a 1961 Jaguar MkII that I'm currently restoring. It's a 3.8 Automatic, but I'm upgrading it to a 4.2 with a 4 speed with overdrive.

Thank you for the welcome. Yes they are cool cars but also getting more and more expensive by the day to restore...lol I'm just glad that I got the car for a real good price. I also had a guy give me a '87 XJ6, but decided not to restore it and rather use it for some "upgraded" parts for my MKII. That's where I got the 4.2 engine from. The XJ6 really didn't need a whole lot of work other than new seat interior, paint, wood dash and the engine put back together, but it just wasn't worth the time we would've had into it cause they just aren't worth a whole lot around here. My profile pic is of the MKII I'm restoring.

Can one of ya tell me how I get approved to make posts in the classifieds? I tried earlier and it says I don't have permission to.??.

Welcome to the forum Lisa,

Good to have you with us at Jaguar forums.

Follow this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/mki-mkii-s-type-240-340-daimler-61/ to the MKI/MK2 forum for help, advice and information.
The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for info on regular issues.

Please remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.

I can see you've already found your way to the USA Southwest Region forum so there's no need for a link to it from me.

Enjoy the forums.

Graham
