Hi all I'm a new member and starting of with my first Jag a 84 XJ Vanden Plas I have always wanted one and fell into an unbelievable deal on a totally rust free running drivable Jag. That's where the good news kind of ends although after replacing the battery and most of the fuses she fired right up and drive home and you would never believe the price I paid. However after sitting in the North Carolina sun the seats and sun are totally baked. Being my first Jag I'm definitely going to need some help .

Hello,
Congratulations on your new Xj-40 Jaguar (I know the badge says Xj6 but that was cosmetic from factory only. Very confusing to most of the Public).
Someone will be along shortly to direct you to the correct section where you can find help and advice for all those results of neglect in the sun. The first one I see right off is the paint is peeling.
As you're working to resolve all these problems you've found, you will begin to Bond with your car and wonder how you ever got along without one.
Follow this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/xj40-xj81-25/ to the XJ40 forum for help, advice and information. The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for information on regular issues.
