Just bought a 1997 XK8 convertible with 34k miles on it. It seems to be in excellent condition. I'm in California so will be able to drive year round.
50+ years ago I helped set up a shop in Montreal that specialized in British sports cars and we worked on several XKEs. I was always interested in them. A couple of years later I was given the opportunity to buy an E-type for $200 plus my Pinto station wagon - I had just bought a house and was on a shoestring budget so couldn't afford it. Shortly afterwards the Pinto's transmission died and I went into debt to replace it. Oh well. The E-type would not have done well in the snow.
I'm looking forward to finding more about the car as things come up.
