Good day from beautiful Colorado. Would like to shout out to the people that make this happen. It is a great resource and I feel very fortunate to be amongst fellow Jaguar enthusiasts. Thank you for sharing the knowledge, experience and love of one of the finest automobiles ever made in my own humble opinion.

I am the proud owner of a cream puff 1990 XJ40 that I am in the process of fixing up, it has a few quirks. I will be using this incredible knowledge base for reference and guidance on a regular basis, and I feel blessed. Anybody ever up for a Jaguar drag race in the beautiful Rocky Mountains, you know who to call. ( Just FYI, can't go above 30 mph, but it's not about the speed, it's about the ride! )

Thanks again Forum members and the people who make this happen! I look forward to some serious Jaguar interaction!

Welcome to the forums MinnesotaFreeze,

Good to have you with us.

I can see you've already found your way to the XJ40 forum so there's no need for a link to it from me. The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for information on regular issues. You can also use the US Central Region forum by following this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/us-central-36/ to find other members in your region.

Please read the guidance for new members ( https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/n...ned-up-241802/ ) which answers many of the most frequent questions about getting started.

Enjoy the forums.

Graham

Welcome to the Forums.

An XJ40 with "a few quirks", sounds normal to me.

Good luck.

Hello,
Naa, I'm not into Drag Racing, that's a Guy Thing; Straight Line, 4 seconds max and it's all over, no skill required, only a Heavy Foot, a Big Engine with an ego to match.

Now, if you want to talk Road Racing, especially Curves, Twists and Bends, then Yeah! I'd be up for that,
Your Jag and Mine.
Neutral ground on a road neither of us know, the twistier the better, probably 10 miles would be a good distance, 5 miles minimum.

Welcome to the forums from ElinorB.

It would be a drag race where no one else realized there was a race. Quirks? In abundance. I have mine for the looks and the way they make me smile. Got any pics?
