Hey guys. I've been lurking for a bit. I'll save the lonnnnnggg story of how I ended up with what's been essentially my reasonable 'grail' car for the last few years. The last month has been interesting, to say the least. From 2018 M4 ordered and cancelled, to testing some other models that I tried to love. What I can say for sure is that as much as I knew this is what I wanted, the last few weeks of hassle makes it even better. Anyway...

I have to hand it to the dealer. This is the second purchase from the franchise, with the first being my previous car...2013 Audi RS5. While obviously different actual dealers, the franchise seems to have a nice habit of actually trying to sell cars.

As I posted in the 'How much will 2017s be discounted thread?' I picked up the '17 Coupe R, new, with delivery miles, for $83,625. The sale price of the car itself was $82,500 and I split the cost of a set of winter tires/mounting balancing and a wheel powder coating with the dealer. I have actually grown to like the wheels more than I thought, and may hold off on the powder coating. I was considering the fixed with, and may use the credit towards that instead. We shall see. It was a fair deal in my opinion, as they also gave be a great number on my trade, and I was in and out, reg transferred and plates on the car in a short afternoon, with said trade.





They say never meet your heroes, but in this case, that can't be further from the truth. This car is more than I could have dreamed of.

Thanks. Yes, I'm partial to black cars, though they're a pain to keep clean. I will be wrapping it with a PPF as well; I'm a real glutton for punishment.
