Default New member, oldish car

Hello, new to the forum, had a rush of blood and purchased one of the later XJS's

i,m not new to Jaguars having owned 5 before.

XJ12 series 3
XJS v12 he
XJS 4.0 manual - this car was wonderful
XJS 4.0 auto
XK8

Over the last 5 years I have been sprinting cars, I may have a go at racing this one as its a bit of a mess.

fantastic body, unfortunately it's languished since 2012 after being stripped for paint and a number of bits have been stolen, seat ECU's, seat belts, air bag and lots of trim, a real shame.

i do have a manual box to replace the auto, does anyone here race their cars in the JEC, any idea of the costs involved?

cheers

Mark

Should add, XJS, 4.0litre AJ16 auto, September 94 so later seats and plastics like a celebration without the motifs!

Welcome to the forums Mark,

Good to have you with us.

I can see you've already found your way to the XJS forum so there's no need for a link to it from me. The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for information on regular issues.

Please add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.

You can also visit the UK & Eire Region forum by following this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/uk-eire-68/ to find other members in your region.

Enjoy the forums.

Graham

Hello, Mark,
Congratulations on your Latest Jaguar!
It's too bad so many parts are missing. But as you've doubtless been down this road before I'm sure you'll have it set right soon.
Welcome to the forums from ElinorB.

Here's the car, great body a few repairs to the floor pans, to many bits missing inside or bust to put right. I have a megasquirt ECU coming, plan to modify some BMW throttle bodies and get a little life out of it.
